FAQ's
When Should I Start?
Ideally during pregnancy (third trimester), but we welcome families at any point during postpartum.
Do I have to come in person?
No—home services happen in your home. Peer groups happen at the hub and we provide childcare and help coordinate transportation. Our clinicians can see you in person at Korédé House or virtually through the Stage Care app.
Do I have to be a mother?
While we center mothers due to the overwhelming research showing that mothering women feel unsupported by society, our programming and membership is open to women from early adulthood through retirement. From time to time, we curate programs for spouses and children.
What other services are available or included?
Your dedicated Family Transition Specialist (FTS) is your care navigator and support person. She's a postpartum doula trained to help navigate resources for your wellbeing and recovery. Additional care coordination or referrals are available forlactation support, nutrition, mental health, postpartum massage and pelvic floor therapy.
How much does this cost?
Our services are free for most families under Medicaid in Missouri. HSA/FSA eligible. Ask your employer about postpartum benefits. Ask about sliding scale if interested in services.
Who is a Family Transition Specialist?
At the heart of what we do is a heart for new mothers and women discerning motherhood. Our Family Transition Specialist are certified doulas who undergo additional training for community-care, home visiting, health monitoring and extended postpartum support. In the first few weeks after giving birth, we know the newfound isolation that many women experience. Your dedicated FTS is there to walk with you in providing one-on-one and practical non-clinical support so you're not alone.
What Clinical Care Do You Provide?
Our licensed therapists provide mental health support. Where applicable, our Certified Nurse Midwives provide postpartum care visits at Korédé House or via Telehealth on the Stage Care app.
